Children's Academic Olympics
On March 22nd, the Secretary of Education, began to apply the first stage of the examination known as the “Olimpiada del Conocimiento Infantil” (Children’s Academic Olympics) here in our community. More than 11 thousand sixth graders from several public and private educational institutions throughout the state took part in this activity, designed to recognize academic excellence in students who will graduate from Elementary School this year.

After an analysis of the results, the Secretary of Education selected the 50 best students from the state, thirty of which came from public schools in urban areas, ten from public schools in rural areas, five from CONAFE programs (National Council for Educational Development) leaving only five places for  private school students.

To our great pride and satisfaction, three of those five places were obtained by our students, placing them as finalists with the highest averages in the state. We offer our congratulations to Greta Mariana Baltazar Rodríguez, José Antonio Balleza Agnesi and Ileana Chavez Maisterra, who demonstrate hard work and dedication every day. Congratulations too to their teacher, Juan José García García for his work as a teacher and to the directors of Elementary School for their efforts, which are making the Mission of Campoverde a reality. We would also like to extend our thanks and express our appreciation to their parents who work with us as a team and act as a constant support; we will always be your allies in helping your children achieve their potential.

These excellent students are currently working with the director of Elementary School in order to prepare for a successful participation in the event in the hopes of qualifying for the state final, which will take place on Saturday, May 26th. Places in the final are highly contested since only one student from a private educational institution will be able to participate and receive their award from the President of Mexico, Felipe Calderón Hinojosa.

Congratulations to all of the participants and good luck to our three finalists!
